## Shropshire Master Composters

Established in 2006, the Shropshire Master Composters group have trained over 90 volunteers through a course run by Garden Organics, funded by Veolia and Shropshire Council. Volunteers promote home composting across local communities at events ranging from school assemblies to music festivals. They aim to:

- Raise awareness of the benefits of composting
- Encourage more people to compost at home
- Support those already composting to ensure they are successful

## Home Composting

Home composting is a simple and effective way to recycle garden and uncooked kitchen waste, reducing landfill whilst creating a valuable natural fertiliser for your garden. For the best results, add a balanced mixture of ‘greens’ and ‘browns'.
