Recycling and waste collections due to be made from Monday 28th August will be made a day later than normal. For example, collections that would normally be made on Monday 28th will instead be made on Tuesday 29th; continuing like this throughout the week with collections that would normally be made on Friday 1st will be made on Saturday 2nd September.
Collections will return to normal on Monday 4th September. Any residents unsure about which day they should put out their recycling or waste are asked to check their collection calendar or check out their bin day on line at www.shropshire.gov.uk/binday
Cat Slaytor, Communications Manager at Veolia, said: “We are reminding people that their recycling and waste containers will be collected a day late for the week following the August bank holiday weekend. If anyone is unsure when their collection day is, they can also check their collection calendars. The Household Recycling Centres will be open 9am-5pm each day as usual over the bank holiday weekend.”
