Your recycling is changing. Cartons can now be recycled in your purple lid bin. This includes juice cartons, plant based milk cartons, cream cartons. Simple rinse and flatten them before placing them in your purple lid bin along with your other recyclables.
From November 2025, Shropshire's garden waste collection service will move to an annual subscription. For £58 per year, you can continue to have your garden waste collected on your usual scheduled collection day. If you decide the subscription is not for you, your green bin can be taken to your local Household Recycling Centre (HRC) where it will be recycled responsibly.
As part of these changes, food waste will no longer be accepted in black bins in areas where this was previously permitted. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage residents to explore alternative options such as home composting for managing food waste.
